Then why is it easier in Windows to view system events, sort, filter and comprehend what is going wrong. Unlike Linux, where you have to watch the system in real-time, filter out for specific words and try to read the text like you're Neo from the Matrix?!

Well, can't argue with you here - Windows is easier to administer, froma Windows Administrator point of view but not for a *nix administrator. For some reason, most *nix guys think everything is done via a GUI but on the contrary, I find using the Windows CLI helps me transition between Linux and Windows more seamlessly. If you install Services For Unix, you can even ls files!
